WESOnline Strikes New Partnership with DSN and 3MTT Nigeria

We’re excited to announce a powerful new partnership that reinforces our commitment to equipping Nigerian youth with the skills, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in the global digital economy.

WESOnline has joined forces with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy and Data Science Nigeria (DSN) as part of the ambitious 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, a nationwide initiative designed to train, mentor, and connect three million Nigerians to meaningful digital careers.

Why This Partnership Matters

At WESOnline, we’ve always believed in the transformative power of mentorship. It’s not just about learning a skill; it’s about having the right guidance, encouragement, and real-world insights to apply that skill in a way that drives long-term success. That’s why this partnership is such a perfect fit.

Together with DSN and the 3MTT team, we’re helping close the gap between technical training and employability. While Nigeria’s tech ecosystem continues to grow, many young people still struggle to find direction or access the kind of structured support that leads to career breakthroughs. This collaboration seeks to change that at scale.

What the 3MTT Program Is All About

The 3MTT program is a key part of the Nigerian government’s broader digital transformation strategy. It’s focused on equipping young Nigerians with technical skills in high-demand areas like data analytics and more, while also preparing them for real job opportunities through job readiness assessments, mentorship, and placement support.

WESOnline’s Role in the Partnership

As part of this partnership, WESOnline is leading efforts around structured mentorship and career navigation, helping learners connect with experienced professionals both in Nigeria and across the diaspora. Our goal is to make mentorship more intentional, impactful, and scalable.

During one of the recent stakeholder sessions, Dr. Roti Balogun, founder and innovator of WESOnline, shared:

“This phase reflects our belief that mentorship, when done right with intent, can unlock the true value of bridging the employment gap. By connecting learners to real experts, local and diaspora, we strengthen Nigeria’s innovation pipeline.”

Our mentorship model focuses not only on technical guidance but also on soft skills, workplace readiness, and exposure to real-world opportunities, the very things that help turn potential into professional growth.

Calling All Mentors: You Can Be Part of This

We’re now calling on experienced professionals in Nigeria and abroad to join us as 3MTT mentors. If you’re passionate about youth development, technology, and giving back, this is your chance to make a real impact.

As a mentor, you’ll:

  • Share your industry experience and career lessons
  • Help learners navigate career paths and challenges.
  • Play a part in shaping Nigeria’s future workforce.

What’s Next?

As the 3MTT programme continues to roll out across Nigeria, WESOnline will play a key role in facilitating mentorship activations, matching mentors with mentees, and supporting a structured ecosystem that links learning directly to employment.

This isn’t just about digital skills. It’s about building a future-ready generation, and it starts with partnerships like this.

We’re proud to be part of this bold journey, and we invite you to follow our updates, get involved, and spread the word.
